Meet Edana

A meaningful education is built on diverse experiences, and our journeys often lead us to unexpected places. Mine took me from Los Angeles to Bowdoin College, where I majored in psychology and discovered the true value of a liberal arts education—learning to ask thoughtful questions, think critically, and gain a broad, informed perspective on the world.

My professional path began in advertising, television production, and employee training, before I took time to raise my daughters and become deeply involved in their schools. I led fundraising initiatives to provide essential resources for students and families, organized cultural and educational events, and served as PTSA co-president for three years. While helping my older daughter navigate her college search, I realized that my project management skills and years of advocating for students and families uniquely prepared me to become an Independent Educational Consultant.

In 2019, I earned a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA, awarded with distinction, and launched Peacock College Counseling. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 100 students, helping them find their best-fit colleges and guiding them step by step through the application and admissions process—hopefully having some fun along the way!

The college search can feel overwhelming. The admissions landscape changes rapidly, and it’s hard to keep up with evolving trends. I’m a planner and a researcher at heart. I love to write, and I’m passionate about helping students tell their stories—discovering their interests, experiences, and dreams in the process. Most of all, I’m committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others, and as a college counselor, I’m fortunate to do just that.

If you’re ready to explore the next step in your college journey, I’d love to connect—let’s find the right path together.
